We Cordially Invite You to Attend Our Annual Home Tour!
The tour benefits the Huntington Medical Research Institutes, Huntington Hospital's Altadena Guild Community Service Scholarship, and Constance G. Zahorik Appearance Center.
On Sunday, May 7th, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, we will celebrate the coming together of or community and embracing the diverse artistic expressions found in the homes and gardens on our 66th Annual Home Tour. Our theme this year is "A Stroll n the Altadena Highlands". There will be four beautiful homes and gardens to view, each as unique as Altadena itself. The homes are rich in architectural diversity with beautiful gardens.
Other highlights include a complimentary dessert and beverage in the Tea Garden (10:00 am to 3:00 pm); musicians playing throughout the day in many locations; shopping at fine art, jewelry, pottery and gift vendors; and vintage cars from the eras of the homes on tour. Our Bakery will again have wonderful homemade cakes, cookies, pies, candies and jams for purchase. We will have our famous Altadini Pub for some light refreshments including wine, sandwiches and a specially brewed beer for our tour. Coffee and pastries will also be available for purchase in the morning.
Since 1951, the Altadena Guild of Huntington Memorial Hospital, a group of volunteers passionate about helping their community, has raised over $2 million to benefit Huntington Medical Research Institutes (HMRI). This independent, nonprofit organization seeks to improve health by improving medicine and state-of-the-art research. The Guild also funds a scholarship for a Huntington Hospital employee to further his/her education, as well as supporting the hospital's Constance G. Zahorik Appearance Center, which helps women facing breast cancer look and feel their best.
This is a walking tour with ample street parking nearby. The tour is not handicapped accessible. As a courtesy to our homeowners, we request no pets or children under the age of twelve. Flat or low-heeled shoes only, please. No photographs.
